On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our great pleasure to invite you to attend the 26th International Congress of Radiology (ICR 2010), which  will be held in Shanghai, China, from April 9 to 12, 2010. 

 

ICR was initiated by the International Society of Radiology (ISR) which is a world organization of diagnostic radiology and confederation of national radiology societies. Since its first congress held in 1925, ICR has dedicated its constant efforts to the communication among radiologists and their societies from various countries as well as to the improvement of scientific and technical expertise within the radiological field. 

 

The 26th ICR chose the theme of ‘Better Radiology, Better Healthcare’ because of the World Expo 2010 which is also held in Shanghai subsequently. Better radiology should be one of the important components of the better medicine and better city. We hope better radiology pushed by radiologists and their societies from various countries would provide people with better healthcare and then better life. 

 

The Organizing Committee plans to provide an advanced, dynamic and scientific program which will cover various categories of current issues of radiology. More than 100 world-renowned international speakers have already confirmed their participation and will share their experience and latest achievements at ICR 2010. 

 

Shanghai is a city which has demonstrated the greatest vigor and vitality during the years of China’s reform and opening. Coexistence of modernization and traditional features and blend of oriental and western culture are the obvious characteristics of Shanghai. It possesses a wealth of historical monuments and tourist attractions in addition to the highly technological environment. Excellent hotels and restaurants, the cultural programs and tours will show you the unique charm of Shanghai and leave you deep impression. 

 

Hosted by the Chinese Society of Radiology and Chinese Medical Association, ICR 2010 will offer very much to see and provide all possible conveniences.
